Nakara Primary offers a vibrant, onsite After School Hours Care program each school day for students in Transition to Year 6.

Children enjoy a wide range of fun, engaging, and educational activities, including:

• Indoor and outdoor sports
• Creative arts and crafts
• Cooking experiences
• Construction and hands-on play
• Movies and supervised computer use (screen time is monitored)

Our service is licensed for up to 150 students, with both regular and casual bookings available, and is CCS approved.

Hours of Operation: 2:40pm – 5:55pm

Fee (from 5 January 2026): $41.00 per session
Location: Sirius Building, near the school drop-off zone

Vacation Care

Available during school holidays for all Nakara Primary students (Transition to Year 6), our Vacation Care program offers full-day care in a safe, engaging environment which is inclusive of excursions.

Hours of operation: 7:30am – 5:30pm
Fee (from June 2025): $80.00 per child, per day

Please note: Both After School Hours Care and Vacation Care are only available to enrolled Nakara Primary students, both services are closed on all public holidays and there is an annualtwo week service closure over Christmas/New Year period – dates confirmed and advertised in Term 4)

From creative activities to active play, Nakara’s care programs provide a safe, stimulating space where children can learn, explore, and have fun beyond the classroom.
